Ko Samet

We went to Ko Samet which is an island just off the coast of Rayong, near Bangkok. It was about a 3 hour bus ride and then a half hour ferry to get there. There were white sand beaches and WARM crystal clear-blue water. It was so amazing. We stayed in bungalows that were kind of dirty, but that's what you get for $4 a night on the beach. I still can't believe I LIVE here!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...my life here is REALLY tough. seriously.

Ayutthaya and Haircut

A form of fortune telling where you shake this cannister until one stick falls out, then look at the number on the stick and get the corresponding fortune from a wall of fortunes...

The fortunes were somewhat depressing, haha. This was mine:

I like riding elephants in the streets.

We went to Ayutthaya on "Children's Day", which is a day in Thailand where families take the kids out to do fun things like the zoo or museums, so we saw kids everywhere. The kids all seem really well-behaved.

Khao San Road

Khao San Road (backpackers road)baby for sale! just kidding.

Me hesitantly trying grasshoppers for the first time...

Then I realized they were absolutely delicious. Crispy and salty like corn nuts.
